Atlanta-based National Centre for Civil and Human Rights (Expansion)

As part of the National Centre for Civil and Human Rights's around $48 million capital campaign, Arthur M. Blank, one of the organization's founding sponsors, has contributed $15 million and promised to finance the museum's major expansion. The downtown location will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2024.

The park is home to the historic Muscogee people, descendants of the ancient Mississippian civilization, and includes seven earthen mounds, an early colonial trade station, an earthen lodge that has been reconstructed, and a visitor center with more than 2,000 artifacts. With items from the University of Georgia Music Collections, the Classic Centre Arena in Athens is expected to improve the entertainment landscape of the city.
